    Sales Taxes - You may or may not be charged sales tax at registration. Many dealers remit sales taxes direct to the DMV. Full Nevada taxes are due on vehicles purchased in Utah. Run into Out-of-Land Dealer Sales.

    Vehicle must be registered earlier the expiration of any motion let issued.

    Odometer Argument - Ensure the dealer completes this argument on the championship or certificate of origin on vehicles 2011 or newer. The original copy of a separate statement is also acceptable.

General Info

Have your VIN and MSRP fix and get an Online Fee Approximate.

VIN inspections are done at DMV offices. At larger offices, drive to the inspection station outside the master office kickoff. No appointment is required.

You must visit a DMV office to register a vehicle unless it is eligible for Online Registration. Brand an appointment!

Liability Insurance Requirements

Out-of-country insurance is not accepted. You must obtain insurance from a Nevada Licensed Insurance Carrier and maintain the coverage for the entire time the vehicle is registered in Nevada. Minimum coverage is 25/50/xx. Coverage is verified electronically with your insurance visitor.

Motorists who exercise not maintain Nevada liability insurance are subject to a registration suspension and reinstatement fees and fines. You must keep Nevada Prove of Insurance in your vehicle or on a mobile device at all times. Mopeds and trailers are exempt from insurance requirements.

Emission Inspections

Smog checks are required on nearly gasoline and diesel powered cars and trucks, 1968 and newer, based in most areas of Las Vegas and Reno. See Emissions or inquire at a smog check station.

Exemptions include new vehicles on their first and 2nd registration, hybrids for the offset five model years, diesel fuel vehicles with a manufacturers gross vehicle weight rating over 14,000 pounds, motorcycles and mopeds.

Emissions tests are valid for 90 days. If the vehicle was purchased from a Nevada dealer, the test is valid for 180 days from the date of the test.
