You'll earn the night cloak in The Completeness. This is a fairly linear area, the only path open to you lot at first takes yous east into the room pictured above. There you'll "face up your fear" and fight a shadow version of yourself in a tough boss fight. Here'south how to win.

Your other cocky can use your entire arsenal, but he'due south even stronger. His trickiest set on involves summoning spikes forth the floor — you'll know it's coming when you hear a shimmering sound. When this happens, bound to 1 of the walls and either cling in identify or proceed jumping to stay off the ground. He'll fly across the screen, creating a streak of darkness and sending more darkness all along the opposite wall. To dodge, double jump and nuance toward the opposite wall and apply a Crystal Pointer to teleport all the manner over. This set on is a bit disruptive at first, but the timing isn't so bad once you really know how to avoid the spikes and cloud.

The boss'due south other attacks are simpler. He may hover in the middle of the screen and summon a large version of the shuriken. You can't outrun this, so use Crystal Arrows to stay articulate. He may besides fire his own arrows at you, hopping forth the wall and crossing the room equally he does. These come at you fast, so keep your distance to maximize the spread of the arrows and slip through when they go close. If y'all see spikes announced on the sides of the room, exist prepared for a few unlike attacks. He will slam down with the spear 2 to four times in a row — sidestep and use quick jumps to avoid the wave of energy it sends out. He can besides teleport behind you and set on with the shuriken, or appear nearby and swing his sword in a 3-hit combo. In all cases, your all-time bet is to keep moving and not let him become the driblet on you.

Finally, your other cocky may attempt to heal. You'll be bounced to the edge of the screen (this can't exist avoided), as he starts charging up in the center. Yous can jump or teleport between the moving shadow columns at this point, and if y'all reach the middle and hit him before the charge finishes, yous'll prevent him from healing. If yous can't make it, don't worry: he only heals for one hit, and he can only exercise it twice during the fight.

This dominate boxing is very difficult, only information technology is winnable. Be ready to dodge a variety of attacks and get in your ain when in that location's a safe window, and you lot'll eventually stop off your fear. One time he's downwardly, you'll receive the Night Cloak, which lets you enter those shadowy blackness-purple areas you lot've seen during your take chances. It'll brand navigating parts of The Abyss much easier also.
